Public-Private Youth Development Project Launched on July 14, 2009

Inspiring Leadership, Empowerment and Development in Youth (i-LEAD) is an innovative youth development program that aims at facilitating leadership, personal development, and active citizenship in youth through sports and community service. The program is being implemented by Center for Educational Research and Planning in collaboration and partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh. The objectives of the project are the following:
  • Designing a sports curriculum and promoting sports as a co-curriculum activity in schools and colleges.
  • Facilitating leadership and personal development of young people through sports.
  • Fostering cross cultural understanding, tolerance and respect for diversity.
  • Creating active citizenship and responsibility through community service and community development.
  • Creating opportunities for youth to train for national and international sports.
