About the Programme
INSPYRE - Inspiring Pakistani Youth to Reach Excellence Through Counseling and Training in Sindh - is an innovative youth development programme that aims at providing the youth with a platform for their personal growth, economic and social development. The programme is designed to provide free training opportunities to youth for their personal growth and career development. The programme is being implemented by Habib University Foundation (H.U.F.) in collaboration and partnership with the Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh. Trainings are being held at the Institute for Advancing Careers and Talents (iACT), a public-private partnership project between H.U.F. and the City District Government Karachi (CDGK). The British Council is providing technical assistance in implementation of the program.
Programme Objectives
  • Providing opportunities to youth for personal growth, career development, and academic advancement
  • Facilitating youth to undertake leadership roles in society for personal and social development
  • Enabling young people to contribute to community development and broader level societal change

Courses Offered
With the rapid growth of various service sector industries in Pakistan, there is an increasing demand for skilled and specialized human resource. Hence, INSPYRE focuses on training youth for emerging careers in upcoming fields including:

  • Call Center Industry
  • Retail Management
  • Fashion and Textile Designing
  • Digital Media

A Unique Learning Experience
INSPYRE also offers the following as essential components of all trainings in order to equip youth with skills required for pursuing successful careers:
  • Personal Development: To help develop the overall personality of young people, INSPYRE offers ‘Skills for life’ training in Self and society, Concept of healthy living in 21st century, Service sector and Creative entrepreneurship.
  • Career Development: INSPYRE is also providing career development opportunities by training students in developing their resumes, searching for jobs, preparing for job interviews and initiate opportunities for self employment.
  • Leadership Development: INSPYRE focuses towards developing youth leadership in order to inspire confidence in young people for tackling challenges successfully.
  • English Language: This component aims at improving English language skills of course participants by focusing on Spoken and Written English, Listening and Reading skills, Grammar, Vocabulary and Spellings, Oral Presentations and Public Speaking.
