Living in Karachi

Living in Karachi is exciting as well an enriching and diverse cultural experience.

Karachi is a city of 18 million is the hub of culture, trade, industry and philanthropy in Pakistan. Once the capital of the country, the city is home to people with diverse ethno linguistic, cultural, religious and socio economic backgrounds. You will hear Urdu, English, Sindhi, Pashto, Gujrati, Kacchi, Baloachi, Farsi and Bengali and several other languages spoken in this culturally diverse city.

Being a cosmopolitan metropolis, there is a heavy traffic both on the streets and sidewalks. The city has many shopping malls, restaurants offering local and international cuisines, family clubs and great beaches and many secured parks. English is widely used in Karachi, and signs for roads, shops, restaurants, and most businesses are written in both English and Urdu.

Karachi offers a wide range of private schools with international standard of education. Although there is a local network of bus and taxis, majority of residents drive personal cars.
